I have a hard time understanding this struture

Background information is that this guy teaches people how to play piano. In one of his uploaded videos (he's sitting in front of a keyboard at home), he said:

'I did want to say a quick note. I think I’ll be making a lot of these videos using this keyboard. I use this keyboard to practice at night. And I do most of my practicing at school during the day. So I won’t be able to make the videos as frequently if I have to be at a grand piano at all times cause I don’t have one here in my apartment.'

I don't understand the 'as ... if' structure.

What does 'as' here mean. Is it one of the 'as' in 'as+adjective+as' structure where another half is omitted here?

Or 'as' here doesn't mean anything? then why it's here?

I suppose "as frequently" means "as frequently as is actually the case (or I hope will be the case)". The point that he is trying to make is not very clearly expressed, in my opinion.

I think
based on this:
I do most of my practicing at school during the day. So I won’t be able to make the videos as frequently if I have to be at a grand piano at all

The problem is with the word "so". This implies that:

"I use this keyboard to practice at night. And I do most of my practicing at school during the day."

is a reason for:

"I won’t be able to make the videos as frequently if I have to be at a grand piano at all times cause I don’t have one here in my apartment"

It isn't clear to me why it should be a reason.
