I hardly/rarely study.

Hi teachers!

I wann to the differences between hardly and rarely in the sentences below. Actually the two sentences are translated into Korean exactly the same but I have heard they have different nuisances.

1. I hardly study English.

2. I barely study English.

Many thanks in advance.
