I hardly ever buy something/anything at XYZ

Please look at this sentence:


"I hardly ever buy something at XYZ."

Should the word "something" be changed to the word "anything"?

Should the sentence read, "I hardly ever buy anything at XYZ."?

I wouldn't say that either is wrong, but I prefer 'anything'.
