I had visited my grandma before
Hi teachers!
Today I'm going to ask about the adverb "before" and perfect tense. Please have look at he sentences below and let me know which are grammatical. In my opinion, #1, 2, 6 are grammatical, while #2 is not. But I'm not sure about # 4, 5 and 8. Especially in case of # 8, it can be grammatical or not depending on the grammar books. As a EFL teacher in Korea, I really want to make it clear.
1. I have visited my grandma before. ( 0 )
2. I have visited my grandma 2 days before (x)
3. I had visited my grandma 2 days before (0)
4. I had visited my grandma before (????)
5. I had visited my grandma 2 days ago. (????)
6. I visited my grandma 2 days ago. (0)
Also,
7. I have taught English since last week (0)
8. I have taught English since 2days ago (?????)
