Hello,
could you help, please?
When I am writing a note for somebody it's natural to say, for example:
'Hey Mike. Sorry, I have to go out because I have to go to the hospital to have a check-up".

Would it still be ok if we wrote:
"'Hey Mike. Sorry, I had to go out because I had to go to the hospital to have a check-up".
