"I got your email and have understood it well."

"I got your email and have understood it well."

I was looking for some common mistakes in English made by ESL learners and saw this sentence; while this is completely grammatical, the author suggested that this may sound overly familiar, or even arrogant in certain situations(without stating any reason).

While I am not a native English speaker, I don't find it specifically strange. How can it be 'arrogant?" Any idea?

Familiar: I got could be more formal as I received. " That's all I can think of. " would please the author better.

Familiar: I got could be more formal as I received. Arrogant: Keeping in mind that "attitude" is often mistaken in emails, "..have understood it well" might indicate an attitude of "well, of course I understood it...what did you expect?" That's all I can think of. Perhaps "I have no questions.." would please the author better.
