I got a lot of help here, please explain something again!!

Hi, please help: i would like to know that is this sentence correct, or actually what does it mean?

'Did he go to the hairdresser?' 'I wonder if he did'

so my question is: does the answer mean that ---i would be surprised if he really went to the hairdresser

or what can i say after this question:

'Has she ever been to Germany?' 'I wonder she has' OR I doubt she has/did OR i think she hasn't/didn't

thank you in advance!

Hi, i would like to know that is this sentence correct, or actually what does it mean? ' 'I wonder if he did' so my question is: does the answer mean that ---i would be surprised if he really went to the hairdresser 'I wonder' can be used to express scepticism, but it's not a natural answer to a direct question like the above. Here's a more natural context, where the first person makes an assertion.
