What reasons do you want and in regard to what?

Many thanks in advance.

I hope to know why the second one is the better version, because if I know the reason I can avoid making the same mistakes in the sentences I make.
Or I will help me master the skill of writing better sentences

It is not a mistake; it is just that nowadays more people say 'walk' than 'go on foot'.

We often say that I go to school by car.
When others ask us how do we go to school.
Which is the better answer?

I drive to school every day.
I go to school by car every day.
I walk to school every day.
I go to school on foot every day.

After reading all those posts I think the first and the third are the better answers

HI,

It's really just idiomatic. Some things we say, somethings we don't say.

Is it the same with your native language?

In some cases, it may also be because one expression is shorter and easier to say than another.

'I walk to school' is shorter than

'I go to school on foot'.

Yes, that's the idea. The first and third sentences sound much more natural because they are much more commonly used.
