I go....

Hello,

Is it possible to use 'I go' simple present form in the second sentence?
Jim: Do you want to come over for dinner tonight?
Denise: Oh, I'm sorry, I can't. I (go) to a movie tonight with some friends.

No, you should say "I'm going to see a movie tonight with some friends". Note that it's go to the movies or go to see a movie, not just go to a movie.
