I found something annoying in my sausages :@

Hi everybody,

I ate sausages not so long ago. I bit into some hard and annoying white thing in the sausage. Not hard as a bone but very unpleasant.

Question: What is the name of this annoying part? Sinew? I talk to a girl in English every day, we shares our experiences, and so on. And now I would like to report on this unpleasant thing.
