I forgot to tell you + tense

I forgot to tell you that I've bought/ I bought/ I'd bought a new car.

Are all three appropriate depending on the situation, or is the present perfect unacceptable because of "I forgot"?

Can you give examples for each tense with "I forgot to tell you that..."? Thanks a lot!
