I feel so sorry to you

Please forgive my carelessness for having lost your watch. I feel so sorry to you.

Hi,
Does the bolded part in the above sound good to you? Is it better to rewrite it as the following? Thanks.

... I feel very sorry about you.

"I feel sorry for you" isn't something one would say to another person, to my ears, it sounds a little rude.

Use: I am sorry/very sorry about it.

But Vorpar, many a times, I have seen the usage of "for" after sorry.

Sorry for ...ing might be OK but sorry for you is strange, and we shouldn't use this.

Another: Sorry that I didn't ....
