Does the bolded part in the above sound good to you? Is it better to rewrite it as the following? Thanks.

"I feel sorry for you" isn't something one would say to another person, to my ears, it sounds a little rude.

Use: I am sorry/very sorry about it.

But Vorpar, many a times, I have seen the usage of "for" after sorry.
