I feel nice, like sugar and spice.

1)I feel nice, like sugar and spice.
This sentence comes from "I feel good" sung by James Brown.
I can't get what this sentence means.
Can anyone please rephase it?
I think this "nice" means "kind"and "like sugar and spice" means "like a little girl".

I think also as you suggest, maybe a reference to the traditional rhyme "What are little girls made of? Sugar and spice and all things nice.."
