I don't understand this sentence.

So don't do that. Do the harder, more interesting thing, which is to compose a life where what you do every single day, the people you give your best love and ingenuity and energy to, aligns as closely as possible with what you believe

if I can understand this sentence as 'which is to compose a life where what you do every single day and the people you give your best love and ingenuity and energy to aligns as closely as possible with what you believe' on the grammar?

Yes, that's right. Let me shorten the original for you by deleting some extra stuff:

...Compose a life where your actions and the people you love align closely with your beliefs.

but why to use aligns not align in the original sentence?

if I can understand 'the people you give your best love and ingenuity and energy to' is to further explain
'what you do every single day' as a complement so use single form predicate aligns ?

Jay from earthbut why use aligns not align in the original sentence?
Because the sentence is so tortuous that the writer has confused himself, thinking the subject of 'aligns' to be 'life'.
