I don't understand the metaphor here

Someone who's been the center of the public attention a lot because something embarrassing she did says

"This is a disaster. It's like high school all over again. I'm like a psycho troll who's drawing myself attention from all those barbies with a cosmo subscription."

The last two words is the part that I don't understand, what exactly is it a metaphor for?

Is the speaker trying to convey that those gossiping girls around her who are paying attention to her have an enthusiam to know about everything?
