I don't think some of the schools have the technology yet. - - OK?

"I don't think some of the schools have the technology yet."

I realize this sentence is awkward and a native speaker would almost never say it. But is it grammatically feasible? Or, must a word like "many" or "all" replace "some, because it is a negative sentence?
