I know this is a late response but I wanted to add that " I don't play any musical instrument" would be grammatically incorrect. It would be a simple correction of "I don't play a musical instrument" or "I don't play any musical instruments" ( plural ).

No l don't l've always wished l'd taken up a musical instrument.... I'd love to be able to play the guitar.... But l think l'm a bit tone deaf so perhaps l'd find it hard.....
