"I don't like..." - grammar

Which one are correct?
I don't like swimming or "I don't like to swim"
and
"I don't like the dog running" or "I don't like the dog to run"

I especially don't understand the structure "I don't like the dog running". Is this the same as "I don't like the dog, who is running". In Conclusion a shortend relative sentence constructed via participle?
