I don't know how to write this for a review

I am having problems with tense and if one says 'ends abruptly'.
A] Correct the tenses.
B] Is it okay to say 'ends abruptly'

There are some movies that end abruptly to leave leaving the viewer ponder pondering what happens next.

I think the correct sentence would be ''There are some movies that end abruptly leaving the viewer to ponder on what happens next. ''

Yes, 'to ponder' is OK, too, but a comma after 'abruptly' is de rigueur, I think.
