I don't get this question. Help me.
Hi guys
I'm trying to solve this assignment but I don't know what I must write in this questions and I really need a help.
Here's a question
Making Predictions
Reflecting on the past and on trends, make your own predictions, each supported by three reasons. Choose five of the following categories for a total of five projections: travel, medicine, space, technology, Earth's future, the economy, politics, the environment, your own life. (5 x 3 marks = 15 marks)
after I finished reading then I saw this example
In Key Question #1 for this lesson, you will make predictions by extrapolating from known facts. Following are two examples of such extrapolations.
Example 1: "Within the next 50 years, the western world will face a major plague that will claim tens of thousands of lives."
Reasons:
1. Medical researchers suggest that we are years behind where we should be in development of new drugs.
2. Drug-resistant strains of diseases are growing in number and strength.
3. The SARS outbreak of 2003 has shown that particularly virulent diseases can travel around the globe very quickly
Example 2: "By the year 2015, almost all computers and software in North America will be entirely voice controlled."
Reasons:
1. Voice recognition technology (VRT) already allows people to dictate into wordprocessing programs and control a computer's functions.
2. Recent advances have made it possible for VRT to recognize several different voices instead of just one "owner's" voice. 3. While such technology gets better, it also becomes more affordable.
and what I wrote was this for answer.
1. Travelling Europe next year will be difficult. There was many events went on recently in the whole Europe and I’m sure travel the Europe right now is not a wise idea. I also checked my bank account and in order to travel the whole Europe, we have to save more money. According to travel guide books, there are a lot of thefts in Europe and the number is growing.
2. Earth’s environment will be change a lot after within 100 years. The growth of global warming is increasing each year so people can feel the warm air even in the winter time. The icebergs are continuing melt because of global warming and animals like polar bears are losing their home. With population and technology increase, people are using the larger amount of resources than before so growth of pollution is getting increase.
3. Within the next 10 years, the technology will grow fast and make people have better live. Recently there are people who want more comfortable life and eventually technology will grow eventually in order make their life comfortable. With new technology developed, scientists can proceed to the next step of new development. Recently, there are lots of people who want to create stuff for their hobby and thanks to new technology will create in near future.
4. Within the next 50 years, medicine development will grow rapidly. Recently, populations in each country are growing each day so in order to follow growing populations; more medicines are needed to develop. Medical researchers suggest create new medical development will prepare for the new disease near future. People are demanding medicine that can heal anything so they can have a better life without going hospital.
5. In the century’s years later, the space researcher will eventually find another life in the out of space. Thanks to researcher’s effort, they found out there are lots of planets and stars other than earth so they can predict, there will be a life on out of the space. Recently they found the planet that have same environment like Earth have and researchers believe if there is planet like earth then there’s also life we never encountered before. After humans succeeded reach the moon, the scientists continue their effort to reach beneath the stars so eventually they will find the new life in the out of the space.
Should I write like the example? or answer I wrote will be fine? I should have ask teacher before I left....it's really a shame.
