I didn't have a whole lot left
Hi,
I was wondering if someone could take a look for me at this one-left, what does it mean in this context? I mean, the word, " left", used as an adjective, or the past participle of leave in this case? I can not get it. What does Lincoln mean-I didn't have a whole lot left?

Left as in participle. And the other thing I assume it's bothering you is 'a whole lot' which means 'a lot/many/much'.

I'm not sure if he means, stamina, or ideas, or just the will to keep on doing whatever he's doing.
