Hi,
I was wondering if someone could take a look for me at this one-left, what does it mean in this context? I mean, the word, " left", used as an adjective, or the past participle of leave in this case? I can not get it. What does Lincoln mean-I didn't have a whole lot left?
Thanks for your help.

Lincoln: Project Justice.
Veronica: Why have I heard of them?
L: All they handle is death penalty cases. There's a guy there, Ben Forsik, I sent him copies of everything I had. You can go there, tell him what you found. Maybe we'll get enough to bring him on board.
V: Okay.
L: So, uh... how's Sebastian?
V: What do you mean?
L: Well, you being here. I mean... is he cool with it?
V: I haven't talked to him. The, um... The engagement's off.
L: Oh. I'm sorry.
V: You could at least say that like you mean it.
L: I do.
V: God, you always were a lousy liar.
L: Mmm, yeah.
V: I better get to Project Justice.
L: Veronica? Thank you.I didn't have a whole lot left.
V: You can thank me when I get you out of here.
