OK.I'm learning about indefinite pronouns. Such as singular ones: each, either, neither, etc. Plural ones: both,few.... Exceptions: "The exceptions to this rule are in the cases of a fraction or a percentage and such words such as all, most, more, part....

What are examples of the bold phrases.

The exceptions to what rule?

some are singular some are plural. These can be both depending on the context. Thanks for the response.

I'm still not clear about what concerns you.

Would you like to post a few sentences for us to comment on?

"Most indefinite pronouns require singular verbs. Each, neither, either are singular. The EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE ARE IN CASES OF A FRACTION OR A PERCENTAGE and such words such as all, most and part. " Once again thank you.

I have 23 students in my pre-intermediate class. Half are from Poland.
Of our students, 63% are Czech, 21% are Slovak, 11% are Russian, and 5% are from other countries

Hi

I think "majority" can be either singular or plural ...

- A majority of people would agree. I believe they are starting to agree with you

- A majority of people is against this new law. Unfortunately for you, that majority is growing

Depending on context, either singular or plural seems to work
