1)I did it myself
2)I did it by myself

I had been using the first strcuture all along until recently I noticed that some people use the second one.

I found that the example given in cambridge dictionary used the first structure as well. i.e. I had to do the whole job by myself.

Both are fine.

1. I did it myself. -- Myself is mainly used for emphasis. You want to make it clear that you, the speaker, did it.

You took the responsibility to do it.

2. I did it by myself. -- I did it alone. Or: I did it without help.
