the context is not related to a meal. This was used when a man and a woman were talking about an offer of marriage.

Hi,

Then I have no idea what he means. Can you provide more context? What do they say in the sentences before this?

at the moment when the woman said that it is because she refers to the meal options for the weeding, so that means she continous with the weeding plans.

You’ve been probably watching Seinfeld right? I just watched the same episode and decided in that moment of the saying, to check what that expression mean and got here. I think maybe it’s not really related to their conversation they had, i think she just cut the conversation and decided to go to sleep early, so go with the chicken.
