1) I deal with my problems by trying to forget them.
2) I deal with my problems by trying to forget about them.

Are they correct? If yes, then that is the difference between them?

I investigated this topic further and found the following distinction on the Internet:

"The second implies that you're not attending to the memories of those problems although those memories may still be there in your mind. The first implies that you can no longer access memories related to those problems."

Does anyone here have an opinion on this exp
