what is it? a book, a magazine or an article? I want to learn a technique if there is one, I mean I tried to guess taking into consideration that the word is capitalized and written in italics, I also noticed the date, and I assume it's a book. Is there a hint there to guess or should we ,in such cases, search online right away?
Please guide me.

If it were "on" I would think it was a TV or radio show.
It says "in," so I would be thinking a book or a magazine. If it were a book, unless it were so well known that it needed no introduction, it would have said something like "in his groundbreaking book, Science," or "in Milton Hershey's anthology, Science" etc.
