I couldn't get this sentence

It had been raining for seven years; thousands upon thousands of days compounded and filled from one end to the other with rain.

Compounded. I have looked all the possible meanings for the word in urdu. None of the meanings fit in the sentence. Secondly do days have ends?

It is not literal, but figurative.

Compound just means to add up over time. The effect of the rain keeps getting worse and worse.

The end of the day is midnight. It is the beginning of the next day.

days filled from one end to the other = rain occurred for 24 hours every day. From midnight to midnight
