Does it mean-
1) 'After I had met him, I was able to concentrate' or
2) it conveys the past sense of 'I can't concentrate until I meet you' i.e. to concentrate I needed to meet him, it just doesn't necessarily mean that I did so. It's just what I said or wanted...
