"I could have loved you with a fire"

Hi

Could you please tell me if the following line contains a metaphor or a simple comparison? Or a simile?

"I could have loved you with a fire to make all other loves seem like ice."

Thanks,

Tom

It seems to me that the first is a metaphor (no 'like') and the second a simile ('like').
