I changed this sentnece.

-Mom brought home a dozen donuts for us as a treat.
This is the original sentence and I tried to make some changes in the structure.

-Mom brought home us a dozen donuts as a treat.
Is that good one? And I'm confused with the position of 'home'.

I can make this sentence without 'home'.
-Mom brought us a dozen donuts as a treat.
Is that good one, too?

Thank you!

There is competition for the preferred placement directly after the verb.
Mother brought (to) home .. (adverb of place)
Mother brought (to) us ... (indirect object)

So the only way to use both in the sentence to use "for us" and move it after the object.

Allow me to suggest that when you find an interesting sentence, a better way to learn is to substitute different words into the same structure instead of trying to change the structure. I admit that's not easy to do in
