I can't watch any movie/show without subtitles

Hey, I am french and I've been watching for more than 70 hours of american Tv shows/movies with english subtitles on, I can now easily understand the dialogues with the subtitles on but here comes the problem when I try to remove the subtitles I can't even understand half of the dialogues sometimes I can understand like 50% of the dialogues sometimes when the accent is too hard to understand I can only understand few words lol

Should I keep watching again and again with the english subtitles on ? Or should I watch without any subtitle even though I will only understand few phrases or words ?

Watch one movie with subtitles on. Watch the same movie with subtitles off. Since you know the gist of the conversations, it will be easier to understand.

Watch the same movie with subtitles off. Since you know the gist of the conversations, it will be easier to understand. It will be more of a challenge because you will have to listen carefully.

But my goal is to able to watch any tv show or movie without having to put the subtitles on Emotion: tongue tied

That's a great goal. You can get there, but not all in one leap. Be patient and take baby steps.
