I can't understand the sentence

Hi.
I ran across the book and found this sentence but I can't got it as well.
Would you let me know what does this mean?

" If it's Skype, there is the Skype Testing Service you can do a test voice conversation with.-->> But I get the impression you've had the problem with more than one potential employer. Given you are the only common denominator, the chance of it being everyone else and not you is pretty low <<---"

The problem has happened on several different occasions. Only one thing was the same on all those occasions : the involvement of "you". Therefore the problem is probably caused somehow by "you" (or your computer), not by other people.
