I just can't understand due in one of BBC news... see the title:
"Police in the French city of Lyon have fired tear gas to break up groups of youths who hurled stones and bins hours before a curfew was due to begin."
I can't notice if it's a noun or an adverb (or even an adjective?) www.answers.com/due has different meanings, but I can't fit any of them here.
Could you please explain me?
Thank you! Bye!
