I can't quite a bit understand "I probably should've started revising earlier" mean.

Hi.

Currently I'm trying to understand about some sentence as below.
I've got it from www.bbc.co.uk/learningenglish/english/features/6-minute-english/ep-160616

What does "I probably should 've started revising earlier" mean?

Top answer

It means I didn't give myself enough time because I started revising at a certain time, and it turned out that I needed more time to finish. It would have been better if I had started to revise at an earlier time. I didn't give myself enough time to revise.

  • It means I didn't give myself enough time because I started revising at a certain time, and it turned out that I needed more time to finish.
  • It would have been better if I had started to revise at an earlier time.
  • I didn't give myself enough time to revise.
