What does "to out drag" mean.

I can't find it in a dictionary either but it means...
To out drag: In motorsport, to overpower an opponent by brute force (raw horsepower), usually on a straight, rather than through driver ability, or technical finesse (the handling, cornering, braking characteristics, etc. of the machine).
