I can't find the meaning of this, neither dictionary nor web...help me plz

Q) W : I really want to see the play at the outdoor theater. Will you come with me?
M : You know I hate battling all those mosquitoes but if you have your heart set on it.

I can't find the meaning of "all those"!
I saw that sometimes but I couldn't find a meaning.

and

Q) M : I'm taking-up a collection for the jazz band. Would you like to give?
W : Just a minute while I get my wallet.

what does "taking-up" means?

Hi Taeik-- welcome to English Forums. 'All those' means the same as 'all of those'-- there are a large number of mosquitos at the theater. 'Taking up a collection' (no hyphen) means collecting money.
