Hi teachers.
I am having a hard time telling the difference between come and be.
When a teacher call the roll, students say "I'm here."
When you say the purpose of your trip, you say
"I came(or am is ok?) here on vacation."
When you get home, you say "I am home."
"I didn't come here to talk. (or I am not here is ok?)
We (South Koreans) use 'come or go' in a situation where we have to use 'be' because there is no clear distictive tense rules like English.
I know it's hard, but is there any tips to tell them apart?
Thanks in advance~~
" is correct. When answering roll call. " They are just alternate ways of saying the same thing in certain situations - but "come" and "be" usually have different meanings.

"I'm here." is correct. When answering roll call. You could also say "I'm present." or simply "Present." or "Here." I don't think you should be asking: What is the difference between "come" and "be?" They are just alternate ways of saying the same thing in certain situations - but "come" and "be" usually have different meanings.
"I came here on vacation." and "I'm here on vacatio
