"I bought a printer and now I can print out copies of lessons"?

One of my teachers asked me why I got poor grades in exams. My excuse was that I could not stay longer in front of screen because I feel bored and tired. I want to text her that I bought a printer and now I can print out copies of lessons. Then I study well from those hard copies.

How could I say that in a grammatical, short, meaningful sentence/statement, please?
