Vocabulary

I bet / I bet that

I have seen two sentences about "I bet" like below:
- I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor
- I Bet You Won't Complete This Food Challenge
Now I am wondering if there needs to be a "that" after "I bet"? Is there any rule about this or any other examples?

Although "that" is not necessary in either one of the examples, it is not wrong to include it. Generally, it just depends on a person's preference. There are times when a sentence flows more smoothly with "that" in it.

  • By the way, the only words that need to be capitalized in the sentences are the first ones.
