We can say, for example, I applied for a job by filling in (or completing) an application form. When referring to the application form we can simply say "I filled it in" or "I completed it".

apply (verb) > application (noun)
application (noun) > applicate (verb)

Dear friend, I had this doubt too and found the answer. The correct conjugation for the word "applicate" is APPLIED. Application is a derivative of the verb "applicate". So, if you fill a form, request for a job or register yourself in somewhere, the correct way to say that in past is: I APPLIED FOR THAT JOB, I APPLIED MY IMMIGRATION PAPERS, I APPLIED FOR A SCHOLARSHIP, etc. (examples). Good luck
