Which one is the correct: me and Chris or I and Chris?

I don't think I've ever heard anyone start a sentence with "I and Bob." In my experience, even people who seem dramatically self-centered and indifferent to politeness say "Bob and I,' just because it "sounds better." In other words, I'm not telling people they will sound impolite if they say "I and Bob;" I just think they would sound awkward and weird, or as if they were translating word for wo

But I think a few other factors may possibly come to bear on the topic of politeness.

CliveI and Bob made a serious error in this report.In the latter, perhaps it seems like I am trying to take the major responsibility.
But would you ever actually say that? It seems so unlikely to me, I don't think I would even hear it correctly. ("Huh? Ion Bob? Iron Bob? Who's Iron Bob?")
