I am tired vs I feel tired

Hi,

I am just wondering whether there is a big difference between "I am tired" and "I feel tired".

e.g.

Have you ever felt depressed - Have you ever been depressed

etc...

Thanks in advance.

No. I would not say there is a big difference at all. The use of the verb "feel" seems to put a little more emotional distance between the experiencer and what is experienced, but the effect is subtle.
