I am still finding difficulty when to use simple past sentence.

i don't able to understand that when to use past tense. difficulty comes in the following sentences

1)suppose the match has recently finished and i call my friend and say "did you go to London to see the match" or "did you went to London to saw the match" or "do you went to London to saw the match".which one is correct. in these type of situation i am finding difficulty.
one more thing can we use more than one past form of verb in single sentence like in the above example?

2) suppose a player has achieved lots of fame in his/her country.i say to my friend "he/she gave everything to our country" or "he/she give everything to our country during his career"

3)suppose a team has won the the match recently.what should we write in column of newspaper -team won by 6 wickets or team wins by 6 wickets

if i am not wrong is it true that we use past tense where the work has recently been completed?

I think you should start from learning the Irregular and Regular Verbs. Then, after that, try to differentiate them.

Usually Irregular Verbs have irregular verb forms; e.g. see-saw-seen.
Regular verbs have -ed endings, e.g. play-played-played.

The second Saw and the second Played are used in Past sentences.

Yesterday I saw him in the garden.
