'I am sorry to cause you such inconvenience' <- Does this make sense?

lets say that I failed to make a complete submission of resume or whatever at once. My potential employee therefore wrote me a letter saying you missed blah and blah in your portfolio or resume. I wanna write back a letter starting with a formal apology.

Can I start as the following

"I am sorry to make such inconvenience to you(or cause you such inconveniences)... " or can you suggest me of a better one? Thank You!

Hi. I think cbsteh's sentence is good/OK if the occurance of the inconvenience is very recent. Don't you think so, Jim?
