I am so PUMPED (?)

Hello,

I like the idea of keeping asking questions to you when my dictionaries or Corpus of Contemporary American English (COCA) fail to help me understand the spoken English.

For example, in one of my previous posts I asked what does ''I am so JACKED to have made that decision...'' mean. And later on, I learnt that the word to be jacked can mean to be greatly excited
or —at least in Ireland— it means ''tired.''

So thank you very much for helping me...

Now here is another question, it is a dialogue actually.

X: '' Yeah, I'll be home for two weeks. So we gotta haaang.''
Y: '' I'm so PUMPED''

What does to be pumped mean in the sentence? Maybe it means ''to be full of passion and energy'' ? Does it sound natural ONLY among a group who use it?
I don't think this street slang-type sentences exist in general conversation? Is it so?
