MY ESSAY :

People differ with each other on whether or not teachers should give children homework. Personally, my opion is disagree with the setting of homework.

There are myrial of reasons why people agrue that home is an unnecessary burden on children . First , It does nothing to improve the ducational outcomes . Second , some nations such as Finland , where teachers do not give their student homework , but the students of Finland are still regularly top educational league tables ( still outperform the one who come from another countries where homework is norm ) . Finally , numbers of parents always complaning that that their children are exhausted after a long at school , and indeed they need time regain their energy .

Beside all the above drawbacks , homework also have some very crucial impacts on the education of children . One of them is that encouraging independent learning and problem solving , in order to that students have to do the homework which are given to them alone to see that if they really understand the lessons . Another reason is that homework can also develop an indelendent study habit , and this habit will be very usefull for them when they get older and have a job .

In conclusion , the setting of homework have its own disavantages and advantages too . BuT in my viem , the drawbacks outweight the benifits .

Their students still outperform those who come from another countries where assigning homework is the norm. Finally, parents are always complaining that that their children are exhausted after a long day at school, and indeed they need time to regain their energy.

Contrary to all these drawbacks, homework can also have some very positive impacts on the children's education as well as their mental and emotional development. One of them is that it encourages independent learning and problem solving. It is very uplifting to a student when they do a homework assignment all by themselves and discover that they really understand the lessons. It also gives the parents an opportunity to be involved directly in the education process as they supervise their children and answer puzzling questions. Teachers often have so many pupils that they cannot give individual attention, and the parent's role can be crucial. Further, working at home after dinner helps develop an independent study habit and teaches them how to manage their time effectively. These skills will be very useful when they get older and apply for university or get a job.

In conclusion, the setting of homework has both disadvantages and advantages. But in my view, there is a compromise to reap all the benefits without the disadvantages. And that is for the teachers to assign optional homework. The parents can then decide to make their children to do it or not. But if this is not possible, I would prefer the no-homework option.
