I am open for/to discussion

To the native speakers,

Are both expressions correct? If yes, are they inter-changeable or do they convey different (however subtle) meanings ?

I am open for discussion.

I am open to discussion.

Thanks

Both are correct. I think "to" is better in this particular case. " It means you're ready and waiting.

"Open for discussion" is too reminiscent of "open for business." It means you're ready and waiting.

What you really want to convey is that you're receptive.

Thank you. In my situation it should sound exactly as you advise.
