I am not sure about the correct tenses in my sentences.

(1a) I had some customers who returned the products damaged.

(1b) I have had some customers who returned the products damaged.

(2a) I had been cheated a few times when I shopped in that store.

(2b) I have been cheated a few times when I shopped in that store.

My non-native English speaking friends say (1a) and (2a) are grammatically correct. But, they are not sure whether the tenses are correct in my other sentences.

Thanks a lot.
