I am not afraid of raising eyebrows.

Hi

Would you say that the following sentences are altogether different in meaning? I mean the yellow parts.

I am not afraid of raising eyebrows on issues of corruption in politics and abuse of human rights.

I am not afraid of rising eyebrows on issues of corruption in politics and abuse of human rights.

Thanks,

Tom

Thanks, MM.

I was aware of the correct idiom "raise one's eyebrows", but couldn't get my point across.

(From a writer's perspective)

Does "rising eyebrows" still sound incorrect? PLEASE EDIT THIS SENTENCE.

I don't care what people think of my writing. I will write what I want to and I am not afraid of "rising eyebrows".

'Raising', not 'rising'. 'Rising' is always wrong as an idiom.
