I am looking for a word...

Is there a word in English that means "actual and present"

Please provide an example so we can understand the context with which you are thinking of using the word. It's very hard to know what you are thinking when you say actual and present.

Ok, maybe like this:
example: The actual and present work should be done rapidly.
the meaning I want to have:
the sentence should mean that the real/actual work, the work that is currently to be done, should be done quickly.

is there a single word to replace "actual and present"?

hope this is more clear...

The context you offer still has a bit of ambiguity, but how does this sound?

The task at hand should be done quickly.

I think you've already mentioned an ideal word to use hear anon; "current"
